We are so used to having thoughts, emotions, and the physical sensations of our body, that we believe that is who we are.
From our childhood we have been conditioned to identify ourselves with this bundle of quirky beliefs, fears, hang-ups, and feelings. We have psychologically inherited the out-dated patterns of our parents. Our education and upbringing has mostly reinforced our self-insecurities and fears.
We have got so used to all that crap, that we forget who we truly are.
Today I want to remind you that you are not your thoughts. You are not your emotions. You are not your fears, or you insecurities. You are not the limiting beliefs inherited from your parents, or society.
You are the life-force which is beyond all those things. You are the consciousness that experiences those things, but you are not them. You are the stillness at the centre of your being.
When you understand this you suddenly have the power to rise above all your fears and insecurities. You develop more calmness in your emotions. You acquire more intelligence to manage things in life in a more harmonious way.
As Yoda once said, you have to unlearn what you have learned. Find that stillness within you and realise that is your true nature.
